Our Story

Built by a Hockey Parent, for Hockey Teams

HuddleBooks exists to make team finances something everyone can see and feel good about. Real tools, real transparency, real peace of mind.

Mike Dunbar

Founder, HuddleBooks

Like most hockey parents, I've written a lot of cheques to a lot of teams. Registration, tournaments, ice time, equipment. The numbers add up fast, and for years I never thought twice about where they went.

Then I started paying attention to how teams actually manage that money. Tens of thousands of dollars, run on a volunteer's spreadsheet, with no easy way to keep everyone on the same page. Most treasurers are doing their best with the wrong tools. That's why I built HuddleBooks. Not to catch anyone doing something wrong, but to make it easy for everyone to do things right.

HuddleBooks is the tool I wish existed when my kids started playing. Now it does.

What We Stand For

Our Mission & Values

Transparency

Every parent should see where every dollar goes. No exceptions, no delays.

Accountability

Dual approval and audit logs mean no treasurer ever carries it alone. Every dollar has a paper trail, so good people can prove they did it right.

Simplicity

Built for volunteer treasurers, not accountants. If you can use a spreadsheet, you can use HuddleBooks.

Canadian-Built

Your team's data stays in Canada, and the tool already speaks hockey, built for how the game actually runs here.
